Hotspot hunting – Airborne Access

I had to get a good internet access from my laptop in Baguio. I used it to make Skype calls.

So I used Airborne Access at the Figaro at the Filling Station in John Hay. It cost me P100 for the first card and boy does 1-hour fly so fast when you (and your mom) are having fun.

I tried out another hotspot at Figaro SM Baguio. It was a pleasant surprise to get complimentary free access at that hotspot. I asked the Figaro barista if they had a promo and how much airtime I can get, but she couldn’t give me any info.

Back in Manila, I had some urgent emails to check and I couldn’t rely on my Smart WiFi connection at home (it hadn’t been working the days after Milenyo).

I accessed the Airborne Access hotspot at EDSA Shangri-La. Thought I’d get a decent signal from the fountain area – but only 60-80% signal strength. I tried the hotspot at the foodcourt in the basement – only 80% signal strength. Oh well, it does the job.
