This is my blow-by-blow account of my Smart WiFi application. The saga continues ….
Day 5, Tuesday:
I receive an SMS from +6392871246xx at 10:32:01 a.m.: “Good day smart wifi delivery po u have 2 ready 1.988 for payment were proceeding now”
Note: that is a verbatim copy of the message I received. - ka edong
I reply: “Sorry, nobody is there to receive equipment at this time. Pls. call me to coordinate – Edwin Soriano, [address omitted]”
1:05pm:
I have not received any calls from the delivery group.
I called up Smart WiFi hotline (*3888 on my Addict Mobile cellphone), a lady named Joyce answered.
I explained that I’d like to make a payment via Smart Wireless Center and just have the equipment received by our building’s administration office.
She put me on hold twice for around two minutes each. After all verifications, she told me that I just have to walk-in to a Smart Wireless Center, explain that I prefer to pay in advance instead of paying upon delivery of the equipment. I can give the payment at Smart Wireless Center.
7 p.m.
I paid for the installation (P1,000) and 1 month subscription (P988) at Smart Wireless Center Shangri-La EDSA. I made sure to report the payment to the Smart WiFi Hotline.
Day 6, Wednesday, 11:19am
I receive a call from 026727288. I’m told that the Smart WiFi equipment has been delivered to the installer (the installer is a group contracted by Smart to install the equipment). My place is scheduled for Smart WiFi installation on Monday, Jan 30. I tell the caller that I would like it installed on Saturday. She says she’ll try to have it installed on Sunday, Jan 29.
Let’s see what happens …
