My wife complained that she wasn’t able to send a couple of big files to a colleague. She was trying to send a file via Gmail from her CD of presentations/documents. They were big files and the dial-up connection we have at home resulted in time-out errors in Gmail.
I asked her if she has sent those same files in the past. She said “yes”.
Edong’s Tips to the rescue!
Just forward the previously mailed files to the new recepient.
Sending the files from your CD/harddisk will take some time to “upload” to Gmail first and then send to the recepient.
On the other hand, if you just forward the files from an old mail, Gmail will just send the files (which reside in the Gmail servers) to the new recepient.
This latter procedure does not require your computer to transfer a new set of fils from your computer to the Gmail server.
Ayos ba? Did you find this tip useful?

Hi Edong,
Another tips and suggestion in sending big files. A lot os users is using rapidshare and yousendit website to upload and download the files but that is going to be time limited.
Another way of sending big files via email is by using HJ split program. That is a freeware to split a big files into chunk of file and join them back once you completed the series.
here is the link:

Hope this will help.
