That’s what I had tonight at an F1 event at Silver City, Pasig.
My brother’s company, Philippine Auto Club (www.philippineautoclub.com), had a booth at the F1 event.
Highlight of the evening was a performance by the Kitty Girls. Aliya Parcs was there too, hosting the event. I took some photos of the Kitty Girls. I’m told the Kitty Girls came out in an advertisement for the Sony Vega or something. I wouldn’t know, I don’t watch TV. But I do watch LCD Projectors … at work!
Which brings me to my Techie Tip for today.
I was helping set-up the LCD projector of Philippine Auto Club (PAC). My PAC friends Juvic and Rog were having problems because they couldn’t project the video on the widescreen through the LCD projector.
Ah, I’ve got the solution for that! It’s a tip I learned from my officemate, T!
Problem: You can project on the LCD projector, but the videos on windows media player (or other videos) do not appear on the LCD projected image.
Solution: Reduce the Hardware accelleration setting. This is how I do it on my laptop…
Right click on desktop > Properties > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot > Slide Hardware accelleration all the way down to “None” > Apply
Ah, sweet! From then on, we were able to project the PAC video on the screen via LCD projector and were able to play an F1 racing game too!
Nice!
