Spreadsheet Wiki

September 1st, 2006 | by ka edong |

I have a need for a Spreadsheet Wiki. Let me describe it by an example.

  • I want to make a comparison table of Philippines Remittance Services on eOFW.
  • I want to have the convenience of adding bits of information to it online, not on my laptop.
  • I want the general public to be able to access the comparison table online
  • I want people to be able to add/update information on that online remittance table (wiki style)
  • BUT I want to have version history and control. So that if anybody messes up the table, I can restore it to my last known good.

I tried out Google Spreadsheets but it currently does not have a version history feature.

Some people out there have a similar vision of a Spreadsheet Wiki (See also wikiCalc).

In the meantime, I’ll upload the file and make it available to anybody interested via Google Spreadsheets (warning: a work in progress).
Check out the Philippine Remittance Services Comparison .
