Three 3G short stories
March 28th, 2006 | by ka edong |Lonely on 3G
I have a friend who has a new 3G phone. He’s running on Smart and he could (theoretically) do unlimited video calls with anybody else who has a Smart 3G phone.
But, he isn’t using the video call service. Why?
He doesn’t have any friend using a Smart 3G phone. Bummer.
3G surfing
He does use the Internet connection via 3G.
He uses it to check e-mails and surf the web. He says he gets a reasonably fast connection, being able to download photos from his Gmail.
But viewing the photos on the mobile phone isn’t as exciting as on the PC monitor. You couldn’t see the details of those photos … whatever photos they are …
3G in Singapore
It didn’t take off. It didn’t sell.
Here’s one reason why:
Men didn’t want 3G phones because the 3G phone made it was harder to lie about their whereabouts when their girlfriend/wife called.
Will it be the same in the Philippines?

My friends and I have come up with an invention. It’s a background. It will look like your office, except it’s just cardboard that you hold up behind your head when making a call to your wife.
Just make sure your hair isn’t dishevled after a day at the beach (or wherever else).
