Smart Money Mobile Payments Now Accepted Here
Pay for your purchases through your mobile phone
It’s basically the same service as Smart Money in SM Megamall. You can make purchases at Robinson’s and pay through your cellphone and Smart Money account.
I asked a Robinson’s department stor cashier about Smart Money service. She said it’s been up since last year, around December 2005.
I asked whether the service has been picking up: “Ilan na ang bumili gamit ang Smart Money?”
Cashier replied: “Sir, isa pa lang.”
I expected that.
I say: “Ah talaga? Kumusta naman yung isang transaction mong iyon?”
Cashier says: “Hindi sir. Isa pa lang ang nagt-transact ng Smart Money sa buong mall.”
Whoa! I didn’t expect that!
I say: “Sige, minsan bibili ako dito gamit ang Smart Money. Para dalawa na ang Smart Money transactions niyo.”
I’m glad Smart Money is still “in the game” and still churning out their network of merchants. I doubt though whether it is making significant increases in the number of Smart Money users. At least they are improving the infrastructure (number of places/ways to transact with Smart money) which will contribute to the “appeal” of Smart Money for non-subscribers.
