Massage Chairs like Human Touch

I have three stories of Massage Machines I encountered the past 6 months.

Massage Chairs so much like the Human TouchMAssage Chairs

I was in Singapore last year when my bespren described to me how Singaporeans were fascinated with massage machines. There are showrooms at malls with leather massage chairs. Ijoy massage chairs are quite popular
When Bespren and I went to the mall, I grabbed the chance to use one of these machines the first time I had the opportunity. I slumped my tired body in the comfy seat, the leather chair embracing my back, my butt, my calves.

When the attendant turned on the machine, I couldn’t help but sigh in utter pleasure! It was unbelievable! How could a machine massage so much like human hands? I had the impulse to jump off the chair and double check whether it wasn’t really a pair of human hands giving me a back massage. I’m serious, I really had the impulse to check if somebody was behind the chair massaging my back.

That was how amazing the machine was massaging my back! And it went all the way from just above my butt crack, up my back and spine, all the way up to my nape! Whew, sarap! And the calves, oh the calves! That was a wonderful massage on the calves too! The Massage Chairs in Singapore were wonderful! And I’m seeing some of those similar chairs here in the malls in the Philippines the past 2 months.

Vendo Massage ChairVendo Massage Chair

In Market Market, I saw a vendo massage chair just a few days after a came from Singapore. I tried it out immediately. I think it was P20 for 10 mins. I slumped unto the black leather seat (sanitized with alcohol prior to me sitting on it). The attendant opened the back of the chair and flipped a switch that set the timer and turned on the machine.

And, after experiencing the awesome massage in Singapore, this vendo massage chair was terrible. It felt as if a baker’s rolling pin was being rolled on my back. It felt like a robot, a machine, no finesse at all.

And I could hear the motors rolling and the levers clanking - not relaxing. Well, if I had an extra 20 pesos and was tired, I guess the vendo massage chair would be worth it. But not when there’s a nearby showroom that will allow me to sit for free on the massage chair that’s for sale.

Foot Massage at Changi AirportFoot Massage

And lastly, at the Changi Airport in Singapore, there are massage machines available for tired travelers to use for free. I wanted to try the calves massager, but they were occupied when I passed them. I tried the foot massage instead.

At first it was … scary! I thought the machine would crush my bones! But there’s an intensity and speed control. It wasn’t so bad once I figured out the right setting.

I learned also that if I adjusted my feet forward and back, I would get massaged on different pressure points on my feet.

Nice. Except if the people who used the foot massage machine before you weren’t wearing socks, or were wearing sandals — uh-oh, not hygienic!

All in all, there are machines that feel like machines. But there are massage machines that feel like human hands.

But the warm and real human touch will never be replaced by any machine. Never!

A massage chair may be the most expensive thing in you home but if used every day it can save you a ton of pain.
The massage chair that I like the best are the Panasonic massage chairs that can be seen at http://www.Panasonicmassagechairs.com also they have a fun video.

I love to goto the mall and try all the fun chairs.
