Globe AutoloadMax Vending Machine

In 2006, I wrote about the iLoad Vending Machine that uses a touch-screen monitor and sells airtime load for many telcos.

There’s another airtime load vending machine.
It’s a Globe Autoload Max Vending Machine, called: “iAmax Prepaid Automated Loading Machine”.

I saw it at the parking lot of Makati Medical Center across the People Support building, across Mc Donald’s at the driver’s waiting area.

The vending machine has a 4-line LCD Display, a numeric keypad, a coin slot that accepts P1, P5 and P10 coins.

Interesting that these machines accept only coins. They’re obviously aiming for the market segment that loads just P10 to P25 pesos of load. The location suggests this too.

On the other hand, the iLoad Vending Machines accept larger denomination paper bills and sell load in the P100-P150 range.

Globe has a Funky design in this version of the vending machine. Not bad ;-) . The technology is simpler and cheaper than the touch screen machine of iLoad. I wouldn’t mind having one of those machines. Good for passive income ;-) .
