Help! My Gmail can’t Yahoo

I needed to send e-mail to a friend who uses Yahoo mail. It bounced. And bounced.
I asked for an alternative e-mail and she sent me two alternative email addresses — both Yahoo mail. They bounced and bounced. I also tried sending her mails (and her alternative yahoomail addresses) via my dormant yahoomail account. bounce bounce bounce.
It’s weird because when I sent her my attachment via YouSendIt.com, she received the message. Whereas when I sent her plain text emails, she never received any.
Anybody else getting this error?
