Pwede Card and Beyond

PLDT and Smart came out with an all-in-one pre-paid card called “Pwede”. The card can be used for PLDT pay phones, Smart cellphone load and Vibe pre-paid Internet.
Nothing super duper about that. It’s been done before.
What’s interesting is how the card can be reloaded. How? How else but through the ubiquitous Smart reloading stations found everywhere in the country.
Goodah! There’s an idea!
Let’s take it further with what ifs…
- What if I can pay for my bills through cellphone reload stations?
- What if I can send money to my loved ones through cellphone reload stations?
- What if I can reload my BPI or BDO debit card through cellphone reload stations?
It could happen. And the Philippines has the infrastructure of thousands of reloading stations around the country.
No other payment network is as wide as the reloading centers. Not the ATMs, not Western Union, not 7-11.

I have a bad news for those who have converted their telesulit lines to telepwede using the Pwede! card.
Regularly, when you call from a telesulit line, you are charged around 1 peso per minute. If you want to access the internet with telesulit via PLDT Vibe, you’ll be charged 1 peso + 50 cents per minute. But you have the ability to dial up to other prepaid ISP’s.
When you convert your telesulit line to telepwede, calls are now only 2 pesos per call unlimited. I thought this is good especially if you want to access the internet to other ISPs. But when i tried to dial up Blast & even PLDT’s sister company, Infocom’s dialup numbers, I’ve got a message saying “This number is not allowed”. I’m not sure yet if the other ISP numbers are blocked.
Now, I’m stuck with the lousy service of PLDT vibe. Too bad.
Does anyone have this kind of experience?

have one question here. what’s the use of “P115 incoming package” load if i can not make an outgoing call? the P150 load from telesulit is consumable, but for the telepwede, you have to reload a minimum of P30 for you to make an outgoing call which will expire in three days! useless!>:(

bad trip:
They follow the same expiry as the SMART/TnT E-Load system. Expect that kind of thing.
In regards to the 115 incoming call package here is the bottom line:
If you are a seldom do outgoing calls and you mostly receive only incoming calls, stick with the teletipid/telesulit service.
BUT, if you do frequently do outgoing calls, telepwede is right for you.
Why?
Important points:
- P150 telesulit load has a expiry of 15 days
- after the load expiry, the remaining peso load is forfited and you cannot do outgoing calls (like e-load).
- You may still receive incoming calls for 60 days in which, you will be disconnected.
- rates are 1 peso per minute
- In telepwede, you do have now the monthly incoming call “package” (charge) of P115 valid for 30 days (60 days if you first time converted)
- After the expiry of the package, you will not be receiving calls but still you have a dialtone.
- If you do not load yet for the next 30 days, you will be disconnected.
- BUT, in exchange for that, outgoing rates are now only 2pesos per call unlimited (local call).
I’m still verifing other isp numbers… i’ll try the new dialup number of blast this coming weekend.

This pwede card is a stupid card, they have given this card for free to all tele-sulit phone owners, then it turns your tele-sulit card to pwede card, and
when you call thier support centers to change your pwede card, they cant be contacted… as always pldt is no good in customer support….. stupid card

This pwede card could be their strategy to keep their customers locked to using only their services. With tele sulit, it would seem as if they were taken advantage because they cannot gain any income from us having us recieve incoming calls for free. Maybe this “pwede” card could be their answer to this. It would seem as if they are promoting this promo but in reality it is just their way of gaining control.. Am i the only one who’s having this kind of idea? This “pwede card is just as lousy as their customer service”.

The P115 incoming calls package is good for how many minutes only? Does the P2 per call unlimited also apply to the incoming calls? I haven’t tried this Telepwede service yet… though it seems that i have no other choice kasi hindi na pala nago-offer ng Telesulit service ang pldt.
I don’t know much about this thing… all i know is that i need to pay P500 for the application.
- Does the P500 inclusive of P115 incoming calls package already?
- Does it also include free free outgoing calls and how much would that be (if any)?
- How long do i need to consume the free amounts that are inclusive in the P500 application fee?
- Do i need to maintain a P115 load per month for my incoming calls?
- How much would the charge be if i will be making NDD or IDD calls using Telepwede?

yung teletipid namin, nakalimutan lang i-load, deactivated agad tapos converted agad to telepwede pakareceive ng free telepwede card w/letter. tapos magbayad ng reconnection, you’re stuck with the crappy telepwede that charges you even for receiving calls. kung tutuusin mo, parang nagbabayad ka na rin ng post-paid line sa dami ng babayaran mo sa telepwede.

Guess what people… you cant reload a telesulit line once it goes zero balance. If you try loading it, like I did, and so did other customers, the telesulit card you purchased is just a waste, it wont go. Buti nga ako 150 lng, e ung iba 500 ang binili, mas kawawa ung mga store owners na may hawak nung cards, they are as good as sold, yet never will be usefull. At ayaw pang palitan/refund ng PLDT ung telesulit card na nabili niyo… Any lawyers here? What charges can we prosecute them with?

i just called customer service and she told me that we can still use our teletipid as long as we can still get the card.they have stopped production of teletipid/sulit cards daw.at first i thought this was better because of the unlimited outgoing calls.on second thought,the teletipid is 300 consumable for 2months + 1 month graceperiod,w/ tpwede, 345 for 3 months for incoming calls only.i have to put extra load if i want to make outgoing calls.but we rarely use this for outgoing calls bcoz we have a regular line for that.sayang,mas maganda pa rin ang ttipid/sulit for those who have regular lines.you are right,na realize nila na natipid at nasulit natin sila.
so,hindi na pala pwede yung grace period sa ttipid.i should reload before the expiry date.

i got a phone call from PLDT asking if i got the telepwede info that they mailed to me. the girl who i talked to said that they are phasing out teletipid/telesulit lines because they will become obsolete. at first she didn’t want to say when they will be phased out but when i tried pinning her down, she said that she heard by December daw. i haven’t made the switch yet but it seems like this telepwede service is not a good deal. i just find it very machiavellian that after being loyal subscribers to them since 2001, they will suddenly force you to subscribe to a service which is far more inferior and more costly at that. that’s downright unfair. i haven’t tried loading a new card yet but i’m afraid now of trying it since i don’t want to throw away P300. there ought to be a law to protect consumers from evil corporations like that who are just out to get our money without giving us the quality of service that we deserve.

I share the same sentiments with all of you guys. My line is just reconnected today, and to my suprise the Lineman said that we have to call PLDT customer service if our telesulit would still be activated. I was informed however, that telesulit shall continue while and until telesulit cards are available, as they have stop its production. The catch however is that the next Im going to load my phone is thru telepwede na. Real bad isn’t.
After reading these messages however, i realized that may be the cutting of my line was intentional to force me from converting my existing telesulit to telepwede.
May be its time for us to shift to Globe’s prepaid line… same features as telesulit.

weve just converted ouor telesulit phone to telepwede…for the purpose of availing the low cost internet rate they’re offering, the bad thing is…d man lang ma-confirm yung transfer ng card sa phone namin…at ang sabi para maregister yung account, phoneline at yung line eh mag-outgoing call kaso…halos mag-2 days hindi pa rin makapag -outgoing..eh may load nmn..so ano na nmn mag-expire lang ang load..tapos ano..papagloadin na naman…wala namang magandang maisagot yung mga customer service nila..hayy…ano ba ito..gusto kumita pero ayaw magbigay ng magandang serbisyo publiko..papaano uunlad ang pilipinas nyan..kung yung mga minor aspects ng needs natin eh di pa ma-address ng mga buwayang coompanies na yan..

This is a follow up with my earlier sentiment… Until now we’re still using telesulit. I made a vigilant objection on the conversion of my telesulit to telepwede coz when my line was cut, a day before we have just loaded our phone. So until they are not resolving the issue on th load credit, they allow us to use the phone (with dial tone of course). We can receive incoming calls, but we cannot load telesulit card coz accdg. to them “baka lang mawala at masayang,” coz we’ere supposed to be converted to telepwede after the reconnection. Well, when that time comes, its better to cut my line.

I am with you with regards to the telepwede thing. They are really manloloko. they want me to change to telepwede coz expired na ang load ko, i told them na i can load naman even 10 days after pa. Because of may kakulitan na pagbilhan ng teletipid card and was able to load successfully. talagang manloloko cla.

pangit talaga ang telepwede. the best talaga yung teletipid kc yung 300pesos good for 60 days then meron kang 120 days grace period to reload. yung time na yun, 2x lang a year ako mag load ng 300 kc for incoming call lang. meron akong another regular line. but one time na delay ako sa pag load so na disconnect yung teletipid ko. pag ka reconnect its telesulit na. but yung telesulit is still better than the telepwede.
if ur in an area na merong globelines prepaid, globelines nalang kayo. yun ang gamit ko ngayon. 100pesos for 30 days tapos 30 days grace period to reload.

Let me share to all of you my experience on the telesulit to telepewde thing.
I live here in makati, bumile ako ng Php150 load na telesulit. Nung iniload ko na nd na umeffect. I called the PLDT Customer Service ang ginawa sakin pina tawag ako paikot ikot sa andaming local numbers nila pero walang resulta. Bottom line ndi ko nagamit ung Php 150 na load na binile ko at ang impression ko pa is automatic conversion na ang lahat ng telesulit lines sa telepwede.
So I went to their Business Office sa Makati Ave. para magpaconvert kasi sayang linya ko. The arrogate customer help desk nila informed me that there is no conversion of telesulit lines to telepwede. I need to apply pa for a new tele pwede line kahit may telesulit line na ko. Due to so many requirements nung application, inanong pa kung magkano ang income ko, I was not able to have results that day (nag half day pa ko sa office para ayusin lang) to no avail ako.
Ang iniisip ko ngayon PWEDE ko kaya silang ihable on court regarding dun sa unused Php 150 load ko plus moral and exemplary damages?

1. After viewing all these concerns, I have realized, I’m not the only one who was deceived by the good and inviting advertisement of this new product of PLDT and SMART. Allow me to share my disappointing experience. I got 2 cards on hand right now, the 1st card i bought, i was able to use it for 2 days, after that I started to get irritated by it ‘coz, every time I use it I only get busy tones….Have reported it to their customer service and been doing follow-ups everyday but until now, it was not yet resolved. I couldn’t access on either local or international calls, both landline and mobile nos. not to mention that on the mentioned card, I was captured certain amounts twice, which until now, I have not yet retrieved. I got tired of hearing inconsistent reasons and response from their poor customer service people, which made me decide and took the risk of getting a new card. Been requesting to ask any of their technical support team and team leaders and managers to explain to me what was really the problem with their service, and what assurance will i get….if there’s any, that i will be able to use the said amount that was captured and the existing balance, but either no one has the balls or they are just too busy.
Poor Ogie Alcasid & Susan Enriquez, they were used by these 2 cos. as endorsers. I just hope they learn about this….
One thing is for sure, I am not going to advise any of my friend and relatives to subscribe or use this “Tele-PWEH-de” it only gives inconvenience and deception.

thnx forthe tip about isp bonanza… inis na kc ako sa telepwede… lagi na lng nakikick-off sa server.. lagi pin locked kc kakadial… at kahit madaling araw or umaga.. lagi cra ang remote computer kaya ang connection really sucks… tapos naka block pa mga number ng ibang ISP. badtrip tlaga..puro page cannot be displayed. total inconvenience at unsatisfactory. =(

pwede card sucks!!! kinakain yong load mo & napupunta sa “reserved” kung magrereklamo ka. kung hindi, eh di sa kanila na. nag load ako ng 90 pesos, ginamit kong for longdistance, i got disconnected after 1 min & cannot reconnect..puro na busy tone. nong nag check ako ng balance.. zero na!!! hindi naman ako sa mars or sa pluto tumawag no! then the other time, nag load ako ng 30 & used it sa internet. after 2 hours na disconnect. i tried to reconnect pero connected lang..di ka maka browse, di ka maka log in sa messenger….. ng i-check ko yong balance zero na ulit!!! eh di reklamo na naman. sabi ibabalik w/in 24 hours yong nawalang load.. eh nag expire na nga di pa rin nababalik. ang takaw naman nila. ngayon, nag load ulit ako ng 60, tumawag ng longdistance kaya lang laging busy. when i check balance.. zero na naman. huwag ninyong sabihin na system error.. baka yong utak ninyo ang may error!!!

telesulit ang mas maganda kaysa telepwede. I am from la union and a telesulit subscriber. PLDT mailed me a telepwede registration to convert telesulit to telepwede. The problem is i just loaded 115 then, loaded a total of 60 pesos for my outgoing calls. Wala pang 30 days ay wala na dial tone yung phone namin.Di na nakakareceive ng outgoing and incoming calls. Until now wala pa kaming dial tone.The comment of the callers are the telepwede phone is ringing but the fact is we do not hear it ringing so we cannot answer their phone calls.Wala kasi dial tone.Nagsisisi ako kung bakit ako nagsubscribe ng telepwede. basta pldt services ay talo lagi ang end users, especially sa internet madali ka makaconnect but u cannot surf the web.. kaya for those who wants to access the web, you have to use prepaid cards like GO or ispbonanza.tested ko na to for 3mos, at ng mga customers ko.yan lang ang pwede ma access ng TelePWEDE landline ko.

naconvert yung telesulit ko to telepwede. nawala yung card number para maloadan, di ko maloadan ngayon unless ma-delink tung dating card number but 3 days na akong tumatawag sa PLDT wala paring nangyayari di parin maloadan. kahirap pala nitong telepwedeng ito. mabuti pa telesulit walang problema.

Tracy here, Iam using Telepwede card but i never experienced anyone of your comments, maybe because one good thing in telepwede is: do not activate you phone to this but rather use your telepwede card using public telephone, meaning telepwede is good as having your telephone in you wherever you are. In such a way makaka tipid kayo from calling any cell networks or ever calling abroad.But as i was saying do not convert your telesulit or wahtever to telepwede just use your telepwede card alone(use public phone).

2. if you prefer to call long distance or abroad, use TELEPWEDE card and access it to you regular local line , ang card na ito ay di naman ne e-expire for one year kahit walang load.
3. do not use it for internet, mag VIbe na lang kayo yun paring land line nyo gamitin nyo.
4. Hindi kasi lahat ng gusto ng lahat ng tao ay maaacommodate ng TELEPWEDE. It was actually made for Calling ABROAD, pero kung ang hanap nyo ay makatipid sa lahat ng bagay ay kayo ang magpaplano nyan.

after a day, nagamit n din nmin un phone.. luckyly, our phone number didint changed…

Sobrang, asar talaga tong PLDT na to, dapat customer is always right, pero isusupalpal sayo ang service na di mo na naman ginusto. Sinubukan ko lang tong tele-pwede in one month, two days pa lang, gusto ka nang lumipat sa ibang service provider, check balance pa lang ang dami mo nang ipipindot, tapos bigla na lang naubos load ko. hindi kayo magtatagumpay mga swapang sa pera mga taga PLDT.

Is there any solution para hindi magreset yung connection every 30minutes when it comes to internet service ng telepwede?? before 5pesos/hr. yung charge tapos naging 6pesos/hr (ok lang)….tapos ngayon willing ka na magbayad ng 6pesos nagrereset naman every 30mins… ganito ba talaga magtreat ng customers ang lintik na PLDT nato??? We deserve a better service kasi mahirap kitain ang pera and we actually paid for that flawsible services!!! sana PLDT will realize how cruel or evil their marketing strategies!!! sana makita nila ang tremendous effect nito sa mga consumers…and i think in the end mas grabe ang balik nito sa kanila nito…

ang panget talaga ng PLDT PWEDE CArd, RE-loadable nga pero may side-effect naman.
Ganito kac yan kapag nag a-access ako sa internet biglang na puputol ang linya, ehh kada login o kada access may charge na (1.oo peso) at eto pa parang hindi yata totoo yung FREE ACCESS FROM 12 MIDNIGHT TO 8 AM kc na-babawasan ang load ko.
Ilang beses na akong natawag sa Customer Servise ng PLDT ang laging sinasagot nila “gagawan nalang daw ng report para ma process” ilang linggo akong nag hintay wala paring pagbabago na puputol parin kapag nag internet na ako at wala pang 20 to 30 mins. na di-disconnect na..
Sana masulusyonan nyo ang mga problema ng tao tungkol sa mga serbisyo nyong PALPAK.. na kakainis ang serbisyo nyo…

PLDT is taking advantage of the telepwede card. Grabe, since January, di na kami makareceive ng incoming call. They say that it will take only 3 working days after we have loaded P115 as payment for incoming calls pero hanggang ngayon ayaw pa. I pity the personnel who answers inquiries. Sila ang minumura dahil sa kapalpakan ng PLDT management.
