On www.nbi.gov.ph:

In 2003, the NBI launched their campaign to improve the issuance of NBI clearances. They setup kiosks at malls in major cities.

These kiosks are around as big as a hotdog stand. The kiosks are equipped with a computer, a digital camera and a printer.

All within 5 minutes, I made a P120 payment, had a digital ID picture taken, had my name verified, and had a printout with barcode issued.

It would have been all finished sana. Except for one thing: I have a namesake, EDWIN SORIANO, who has a murder case against him. Almost painless, I guess, as long as the queue of applicants isn’t too long - like on Monday mornings in SM Megamall where the line stretches from the basement all the way through the staircase up to the 4th floor.

      i remember the first tiem na kumuha ako nang NBI. dyan ako kumuha sa grand central. Ayos na e may kiosk din sila dyan. maikli pa ang pila. maghanda ka lang ng P5.00 kasi bebentahan ka ng envelope whether u like it or not. wehehe

      1.) Megamall (Lower Ground floor malapit sa Mr. Quickie).

      I just want to thank you for giving out the NBI contact numbers. I was able to call NBI’s office. I had a hard time visiting NBI’s website. It says Bandwidth Limit Exceeded. O di ba, ang baba ng bandwidth nila.

      Pero kahit na ganyan ang gobyerno natin, I’m still proud to be a FILIPINO. Keep on helping us and we’ll do the same to our countrymen! :)

      I’ve been issued a clearance before. But the spelling was incorrect. It should be NIÑA but they only printed NINA. I’ve tried to asked them but i’ve only got an answer na they dont have Ñ sa system nila.

      Is it true? Now im planning to renew again, but this time for overseas employment na. Is there a possibility na ma correct nila yung name ko?

      Is it a big issue? For example, do government offices, universities or embassies NOT acknowledge the name because of the mis-spell?

      Hi Zenny,
      sa parksquare, may entrance na katapat ng Dusit. Yung entrance , katabi o ka-hilera ng Netopia at Wendy’s ata.
      Walk 10 meters into the mall from that entrance and you’ll see the NBI kiosk on your left side.

      If I remember correctly (please verify when you get there), you just need to provide your info. An old copy of previous clearance is *not* required.
      They can issue the clearance right there and then IF there are no issues with your clearance (e.g. same name as a person with record).

      Hello ka edong, grabe haba pila sa carriedo, pinapunta ko dun para sa renewal kasi di daw ma-read ng computer, ang code ng luma nbi clearance, and aba may entrance fee pa dun na 20.00 grabe ha, kami na pala nagbabayad ng renta nbi dun. sa 20.00 sa 1,000 na kumukuha ng clearance a day 20,000 na yon tapos pag 1 week 100k na in a month 400k na kita. ganun ba kataas ang renta dun per month eh bulok naman yung building. hehehe, sorry, la tayo magagawa nasa pinas tayo eh. still proud to be pinoy.And one more thing pag di mabasa ung code or renewal, pila ka kasama ng first time na kumukuha ng clearance STEP 2-7. oh di ba ang ganda kasi para ka na ring first time nag-apply.

      almost two yrs na kasi nung nag-apply ako nbi clearance and i’m interested in renewing it for it serve as one of my valid id’s. nahihirapan kasi ako mag-apply sa mga credit card companies eh. i only have my company id that doesn’t even have my signature on it. now, my problem is, i don’t have my old copy, can i still go to megamall and have my nbi renewed? and do i get to have my signature printed on it as well?

      hi gudpm.im bothered if a simple case of shoplifting will appear on my clearance if i apply one?soon, i will be applying for an employment abroad..it was a simple case that was settled in a police station, and got me jailed for 3 hours and had paid an agreed amount with the establishment

      Hello po Ka Edong,same case po kami ni star. i’ve read po sa faq sa nbi website na they accept renewal po for a Change in Purpose (e.g. local to abroad etc).. di lang po naka-indicate if applicable yun sa hindi pa expired na nbi clearance like mine. nalilito na po ako. sbi din pwede po sa KIOSK yung renewal which includes changes in PURPOSE..

      malamang depende iyon sa narating nung pag-habla sa iyo.
      mabuti pang alamin niyo nalang sa pamamagitan ng pag-apply ng clearance sa NBI.

      yung mga cases lang ba na naififile sa NBI yung mga cases na nadala sa police station and court? what if naayos sa labas ng police station yung case? Makikita ba yun sa record ko?

      Mabuti pang alamin niyo nalang po sa pamamagitan ng pag-apply ng clearance sa NBI.

      ka edong, nahuli ako nagshoplift sa SM 2 years ago. Pero nasyos sa SM ung case. Hind na ako dnala sa police station. Pero nagkarecord ako sa SM na un. Pwede bang makita yung record ng SM sa NBI clearance ko kahit hindi naman ako nakasuhan ng SM?o pwedeng hindi ako cleared?

      Suggestion ko, mag-apply ka ng NBI clearance para malaman mo kung naka-record yung kaso mo. Yun ang pinaka-sigurado.

      hi! ka edong… bago lng po ako mag aaply ng nbi clearance… need ko lng po malaman kung anu-anu yung requirements and some infos about applying for it… hehe nag iingat lang pow eh dame daw manloloko dyan sa carriedo eh… thx and more power sa inyo!
