My Firefox Referral Button…
December 10th, 2005 | by ka edong |I’ve been trying to install the Google Adsense Firefox Referral button.
But it doesn’t appear on my Technobiography template.
It appears white (take a look, below the search box on the left).
I don’t know why yet, I’m trying to figure it out. Can anybody help?
Here, let me try putting the button on an article:
hmmm….. it’s not there …. bakit kaya?
Update:
Case solved. Removed “www.google.com” from my Adsense’s Competitive Ad Filter. Installed the Google Referral script in the _template_ files of my WP template. Still haven’t gotten the Firefox Referral plugin to work, though.

I also tried installing the code on my good ol’ geocities webpage: Kubo ni Ka Edong. It still appears white.
Next step, write to Google support.

It’s showing a js script error on IE. Please recheck your referral code if it’s complete.

Pleasantly prompt, Google’s reply was. Here’s an email reply from GoogleAdsense Support:
I removed the competitive ad filter already.
But it’s still the same, still a white button, even after refreshing the page.Arlene of AdSense said that changes in competitive ad filter take up to three hours to take effect. I checked just now. The button is up and running. Here’s to a little more AdSense revenue, hopefully.ka edong
